This statement exemplifies what I currently feel about the political system in America today. We seem as a nation to have lost sight of how democracy works and while racial and economic divisions have opal raised the two-party system beyond their ability to work as a democratic system of government, the people, us down here in the street, in our homes and at our jobs, are the ones suffering. Whether we call ourselves democrats, republicans, undecided or other, we all suffer equally under the rule of an autocratic leader who is not very subtly working to limit freedom, undermine the democratic process and run our country as though is were his own personal bank and fiefdom.
