How To Enjoy Your Journey
How slowing down will make you happier
Just a quick little note to let you all know that the Whole Being Institute, which just happens to be my Positive Psychology “Alma Mater”, has seen fit to republish an older blog of mine about how enjoying the journey is often more important that the destination.(I’ve included a link to their awesome blog at the end of this one.)
I thought I’d take a moment to say a bit about how this particular post got written and also let you check out the reposting and their wonderful website.
The whole thing started…..
One day as I was thinking about what to talk about at the beginning of my yoga class. I always gave a short talk as a lead-in to each yoga class I was teaching up in Keene Valley, NY. I was thinking about how so many of us seemed to be rushing around everyday yet not really feeling very happy about much of life. Here we were, surrounded by the beautiful Adirondack mountains and most of us were working our butts off with 2, 3 and sometimes 4 jobs during the summer season.

It got me thinking….
What if we slowed down, even just a little and payed attention to HOW we were getting from A to B?
