Fall in Love With Yourself
And change the world!
We’ve all done it.
You walk past a mirror or a window and either look away or glance at your body and shake your heads as though somehow you failed yourself.
It’s our culture.
Culture tells us that whatever we are wearing, whatever the shape or size of our body- it’s not “right”. We’re told in subtle and sometimes very unsubtle ways, that we don’t look the way we’re supposed to look.
Worse than that…. we get the message that we should feel bad or guilty or ashamed about however we look, whatever kind of body we have.
Brené Brown, speaking in her book, “The Gifts of Imperfection”, comments that if, when we all looked in a mirror and appreciated and accepted how gorgoeus, beautiful and devine we all are; whole economies would crumble. So much money is invested in making us feel “less than”.
Think about it…..
If we truly allowed ourselves to love our bodies exactly as they are, right this minute, cosmetic companies, clothing, cosmetic surgery, pharma, gadget-makers, car manufacturers, gyms, in fact almost every industry of any kind would feel the tremble as thousands of us realised we didn’t need whatever they were trying to sell us- and we walked away.
